The hair extension methods I specialise in are: Fusion Micro Bonding, Pre-bonded and Micro Rings. where around 200-300 individual strands are attached with hot bonding resin to create a seal about the shape and size of a grain of rice.
I specialise in these methods as they have been proven to be the most popular methods of attachment. Many celebrities such as Victoria Beckham, Jordan, and Cheryl Cole prefer these methods. There are many other methods of attachment which all have their downfalls, but these individual strand methods allow you to have natural looking beautiful long hair which you can wear in any style, without the cost of high street salons (who generally charge £100 per hour to fit the extensions).
There are two differnt types of hair I use. For the fusion bonded method I use 100% European human hair which is cuticle-correct and is one of the best quality hair available for extensions. Unlike Chinese or Indian hair which is coarse and cheap to buy, and is used by most extensionists. I have been using this hair for over seven years and my clients are always very happy with the quality! For the Pre-bonded and Micro Rings I use nail tip and stick tip 100% Human Remy Russian hair. Russian hair is said to be the best in the world and stays silky, does not shed and is tangle free.
The type of bonds I use are Keratin based, which is a natural protein and will not damage your hair. It is kind to your hair and very easy to remove unlike lots of other types of glue which tend to be silicon based. Silcon glue is very hard to remove and may cause damage to the natural hair. This is why hair extensions get a bad reputation! For the micro rings I use tiny links which are made from metal with an inner plastic coasting which is kind to your hair. These are also very small, like the Keratin bonds, and are not visible. There are different coloured micro rings to match your hair colour.
I offer a free consultation before the fitting so you can find out everything you need to know about what is involved before deciding whether to go ahead. I will discuss all your requirements with you, answer any questions you have, and colour match your hair for the perfect extension colour.
A consultation isn’t always required if you have healthy hair which is just one colour. If this is the case you can have a telephone / email consultation and post a hair sample to me for colour matching. Some clients who live too far away have a consultation conducted over the phone and then just post a sample of their hair to be colour matched.
The hair extensions generally take up to 3 hours to be applied and will last for three months if they are looked after properly. Micro ring extensions can last for up to 6 months with regular maintenance. It is always best to follow the recommended aftercare instructions and have the extensions maintained after 4 - 6 weeks, and removed after 3 months (bonded). My general rule is that your hair should be long enough to fit into a ponytail, even if just a short one. Extensions can be applied to shorter hair but a consultation is necessary before the fitting appointment as your hair may be unsuitable, and some bonds may be visible with very short hair.
You can have as many colours fitted as you like and I can create stunning styles for you such as streaks, highlights, blocks of colour, etc. Additional colours cost £20 each. I can also re-create certain looks if you want to bring along a picture of a hairstyle you like.
The bonds/ micro rings the extensions are attached with are very small and unnoticeable. The style will look very natural and blend in completely with your own hair. As the hair is real human hair you can treat it just as you would your own hair, and it can be straightened, cut, blow-dried, curled and even dyed (make sure you do a strand test first).
As long as extensions are properly maintained and properly removed they will cause little or no damage to your own hair (depending on the quality of your hair to begin with). Rough brushing, using shampoos which contain silicone, and picking at the bonds causes the most damage. Some people even find that extensions have helped their own hair grow a few inches over the time they are in!
When selecting a hair extensionist always ask to see some examples of the stylists work. If photos of their clients hair looks thin and scraggy it is likely your hair will end up looking the same. And if they do not have any photos or only one or two then beware as it is likey that they have very little or no experience. Also ask to see their qualifications and insurance as there are unfortunately so many unqualified and uninsured hair extensionists out there who may end up damaging your hair and wasting your money!
I sell all of the recommended products to use with your new extensions to ensure they stay looking their best. These include shampoos, conditioners, leave-in treatments and Tangle Teezer brushes. All of these products are specially designed for use with hair extensions. Please see the 'Product Shop' page for more information.
I am always available if you have any questions and I guarantee you that the service I provide is amongst the best available. My service includes exactly the same as the service salons charge £400-£1000 for, only I give you all the relevant advice and aftercare instructions. You will get top quality hair extensions and receive second to none service in a comfortable and relaxed environment.
Many clients travel from all over the UK to get their extensions fitted by Angel Hair Extensions. Two clients fly down from scotland as my prices are so competitive and for the quality of the service , and I have clients who travel from France, Spain, Guernsey and Ireland for the day as it still works out cheaper to come here than to get their extensions locally! My clientele include many age ranges and many professions and I currently have over 200 regular clients.
I am based in Milton Keynes (Buckinghamshire) which is 5 minutes from Junction 14 off the M1. There is also a train station 5 minutes away with direct trains from Euston, which take approximately 30 minutes. Luton Airport is just 45 minutes away if you choose to fly!
A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required upon booking to secure your appointment, and will be lost if the appointment is changed or cancelled. This amount is then deducted from the total cost on the day of the fitting.
