Honey may sound weird, but trust us when we say it has a lot of benefits. We will be giving you a few super easy ways to use honey to treat your locks and achieve beautiful, healthy and long hair.

Why Honey?

I bet you’re wondering ‘why honey?’, Well, that’s a perfectly reasonable question, so we’ll tell you why. Did you know that honey is packed with antitoxins and nutrients, perfect for the hair follicles? And it also attracts moisture, so your hair does not stay dry and brittle! So yeah, honey’s pretty amazing!

Honey X Apple Cider Vinegar

Firstly, for this to work, you will need Raw Honey. Nothing but natural ingredients will work for the hair, to keep out all the unnecessary products and chemicals. As well as getting all the benefits that honey has, the Apple Cider Vinegar will add a beautiful shine to your hair, and act as a natural conditioner.

So, what you will need is pretty simple:

  • 10 Tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup of organic/raw Honey

Okay, to really get the benefits of this amazing mixture, all you need to do is mix the honey and the apple cider vinegar into a bowl or any other container. Treat it like you would shampoo, and add it to damp hair, leave it in for about 15 minutes, then rinse it out with warm water. There you have it, now just brace yourself for shiny and healthy hair!

Honey X Olive Oil

Everyone already knows the amazing benefits Olive Oil can have on the hair, but Honey and Olive Oil together? Now that’s a deadly combo. Olive oil can add an amazing amount of moisture for those with dry hair in a matter of days. It also helps your scalp and hair roots become healthy while smoothing out dry hair shafts for a sleeker finish.

Ok, so now time for what you will need:

  • 1/4 cup of Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup of organic/raw Honey

Just like the last treatments, this one is just as easy to make. All you need to do is mix the honey and olive oil together, and use when needed, when using it, focus mainly on your scalp. Keep the mixture in a tub so you can use it frequently. That’s all there is to it!

Honey X Coconut Oil X Yoghurt

This mixture is perfect if your hair is in desperate need of some TLC. So, let us tell you how the mask works; the lactic acid in the Yoghurt helps to cleanse the scalp, and the protein in the Yoghurt helps to strengthen the hair. Most people know how Coconut Oil can benefit the hair, but if you don’t know, we’ll tell you! Coconut oil helps to stimulate hair growth by going deep into the hair follicles, it adds shine and softens the hair, it helps to moisturise dry hair, it prevents breakage and split ends which also helps to grow your hair. I mean, do we really have to go on?

What you will need:

  • 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons of organic yoghurt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of organic/raw honey

Okay, now for the actual mask. Simply mix all of the ingredients in a bowl. If you have shorter hair, then we recommend using less coconut oil, but if your hair is longer, then use more. Work the mixture into your hair, then leave it in for 15 minutes, after, shampoo your hair as normal. If you’re looking for a deep condition, then leave the mixture in for a further 30 minutes then shampoo it out!

Honey

Honey also works wonders on its own! To help distribute the honey throughout your hair -so it’s not just a sticky mess- we are going to be using water along with it.

What you will need:

  • Water
  • 1/4 cup of organic/raw honey

Now just like with all the other treatments, get mixing! Use enough water, so the honey thins out, so it can be distributed evenly in your hair. Ensure you mix it in a jar or bowl, so you can see the consistency before you put it in your hair. The best way to ensure its mixed well, is to add water to the honey tablespoon by tablespoon. Once the mixture is ready, add it to damp hair, and let it rest for about 30 minutes, then rinse out with warm water.
